I Say a little Pray for you: Indonesia

“The moment i wake up
before i put on my makeup,
I say a little pray for you..”

Maybe this is the simplest thing we can do for Indonesia.
Indonesia is a big country in south east asia. World wide already known Bali, well
actually Bali is just a little county in Indonesia. And maybe you have already
heard negative issues about Indonesia. All i can tell you as an Indonesian is..
some of the news is true, but mostlikely is totally wrong. So, please please, don’t
judge us too early. A wiseman said, “don’t judge a book by it’s cover”.

Indonesia (the place) is used to be a friendly nature. It was and most of it still
a beautifull, exotic and comfy place. But now, as you also might have heard, Indonesia
is in a horrible pain. We’ve got flood, tsunami, earthquake, even mount erruption.
Actually this condition is predictable since we have lots of active mountain, and our
location is on the “crossroad” of the oceans. But still, when this matter came out to
reality: shock, pain, and heart broken is everywhere.

Now the latest news i got is that Mount Merapi (it’s located in central Java) is still
shaking the earth beneath. and the “door” of magma is already opened since it’s last
erruption. People around the mountain is all panic. The Ash is flewn everywhere, even to
some cities. A river in Jogjakarta is already drowned because of Merapi’s cold lava.
What a terrible scene!

I used to study and live in Jogjakarta for about 4 years. It’s a peace, fun and full of history
city. People in Jogjakarta are nice and polite (too polite in my opinion). I could still
feel the unpoluted air, people chattering while they’re walking, tourist passing by and
tossed a smile..all from my past memory. what a beautifull city it was..!
And now, all i can hear about it is just disaster, disaster and disaster..

Please people, if you got the message, we expect your help in any ways. We are NOT
begging for charity, we are knocking on your humanity side. Do all that you can do.
Most of all, pray for Indonesia.

May God always be with us.

Eat Pray Love (The Movie)

Eat Pray Love Cover

Eat Pray Love

Have you ever seen the movie yet? Or at least read the book?

Honestly i haven’t read it yet too. Lol. But that’s ok, since the movie was great. Me and my friends love it very much. So here i am, trying to make some review about the movie (again, not about the book :D )

This is the true story about Elizabeth Gilbert (Liz). Yep, she’s also the author of the book. And the story is exactly what the book’s all about.

As a woman, Liz has her own dreams (i do have one too!). One of them for Liz is to travel around the world before she died. That’s why she collected National Geographic Articles, etc. One day, she was traveling to Bali and met an old Fortuneteller, named Ketut. He looked at her and told her that she might be on a short marriage and she might lost all of her money, but then she will get it again. Ketut gave her some advices to stay in balance living on earth and hope that she will be back to Bali someday and teach him english, as he will teach Liz everything he knew in return.

Six months later, Liz finally reminded about her old dream to travel around the world. And she found out that she’s no longer match to her hubby. (i won’t spoil you about the detail story :D ) Therefore she decided that it was the right time to over their marriage. And As she tried to pulled herself up after the divorce plan, Liz met her actor: David. He played part on Liz’ some kind of play. From eye-to-eye, comes love between them. They lived together, and David thaught her about his Guru from India. But their love wasn’t strong enough to make each other happy. Then Liz decided to find her true life meaning by taking days off for 1 year and used the time to find her old appetite in Italy, to pray and also meet David’s Guru in India.. and finally close the year in Bali.

In Italy, Liz met a very nice woman who already 6 weeks in Italy (Sophie). She was the one who introduce Liz to a big family in Italy, and one of the member is Sophie’s lover who also Liz’ Italian language teacher. Liz made a beautiful friendship with Sophie. Amazed to many exotic foods like she never had one. Learned the meaning of loving and to be loved in a whole family. Then finally they all questioned about Liz’ word (a word that can describe her life entirely). Well, she didn’t have the clue.

In India, Liz felt graceful for everything that she saw. She lived at David’s Guru place. At first she felt disturbed, since she has to wake up early in the morning to meditation, go to Sava (clean up the place without getting anything else in return. that’s a must for everyone who lives there), even she couldn’t stay for a minute in meditation cave. She also disturbed by an old man (Richard from Texas) at first. He kept on telling Liz what to do and don’t. But Liz got an Indian girl friend, named Tulsi. a 17 years old girl who was forced by the family to marry a briliant boy she not even met before. Liz felt sorry for the girl as she remember the day she married her ex-husband. Thats the time when she finally found out the past story about Richard. (you should watch it) And learned to forgive herself  just like Richard did. By the end of Liz’ time in India, she learned that God is on us, as us.

Then in Bali, Liz met Ketut again. Ketut told her to mix everything that she has learned in Italy and India. Ketut also ask Liz to do Indian meditation every morning, and a new meditation: meditation with smile from face, from mind and also from liver (LoL). One day still in Bali, Liz was riding her bicycle when suddenly a man carelessly drove his car and crashed Liz. Liz told that she needed a medicine from Wayan, a Baliness traditional curer woman. Wayan is a single mother for an only little daughter after her divorced. She spent lots of money to manage the divorce, even she has to sell everything she owned include the bathroom doormat. But there, Liz met a party girl who invited Liz to come to a beach party that night. Liz put her finest dress on and came to the party. Again, She met the car crasher: Felipe, a Brazilian who got a divorce with one 19 years old son. Later, Felipe became Liz’ tour guide. And as you may guess, they were falling into each other. In Bali Liz learned to love the world by helping Wayan and her daughter, Tutti (in italian means everybody) to gather $18.000 to buy a house in Indonesia. Liz also learned the meaning of living in balance, and that sometimes breaking the balance for love is worth it.

Find this story attractive? then you should figure the whole story by watching the movie or reading the book. LoL.

Two is Better Than One (Boys Like Girls Feat. Taylor Swift) – Lyric

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought
“Hey, you know, this could be something”
‘Cause everything you do and words you say
You know that it all takes my breath away
And now I’m left with nothing

So maybe it’s true
That I can’t live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there’s so much time
To figure out the best of my life
And you’ve already got me coming undone
And I’m thinking two is better than one

I remember every look upon your face
The way you roll your eyes
The way you taste
You make it hard for breathing
‘Cause when I close my eyes and drift away
I think of you and everything’s okay
I’m finally now believing

That maybe it’s true
That I can’t live without you
And maybe two is better than one
But there’s so much time
To figure out the best of my life
And you’ve already got me coming undone
And I’m thinking two is better than one

I remember what you wore on the first day
You came into my life and I thought, “Hey,”

Maybe it’s true
That I can’t live without you
Maybe two is better than one
But there’s so much time
To figure out the best of my life
And you’ve already got me coming undone
And I’m thinking
I can’t live without you
‘Cause, baby, two is better than one
But there’s so much time
To figure out the best of my life
But I’ll figure it out
When all is said and done
Two is better than one
Two is better than one
